Pure Spoon was founded by Alyson Eberle in 2012, although its roots go back to 2010 when Alyson and her husband couldn't find healthy, fresh baby food for their daughter, Riley. Alyson and Pure Spoon were the first to pioneer the use of High Pressure Processing ("HPP") in the baby food category. HPP is a cold pasteurization technique that uses intense pressure to preserve food without reducing the nutritional value of the finished product.
